The North Refineries Company is one of the 16 companies affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. It is headquartered in Tikrit. It was established in 1976 under Law No. 101. The company was managed at that time by the General Organization for Oil and Gas Refining. In 1997 the Public Sector Companies Law No. 22 was issued. And the name of the company became the North Refineries Company / Public Company.
The company produces various types of products such as unleaded gasoline, jet fuel, white oil, gas oil, black oil destined for export and various types of oils such as engine oil for gasoline, engine oil for diesel, oils for sewing machines, transformers, asphalt products, sulfur, fuel gas and liquid gas…etc.
