Professional Master’s Degree

C. In the specialization subject, its duration is at least three years, and the study can be intensified
according to the student’s achievement capabilities to two continuous years. The professional master’s
study consists of three stages; The first is a pre-master’s, then a research in which a comparative study is
carried out and a new scientific product is concluded, provided that it has been successfully approved by
a reputable discussion committee…. Then an in-depth study in the specialization .. In some practical
colleges there is no exam in the specialized subject such as the professional master’s in a college
Pharmacy, as in other faculties, the in-depth study precedes the research.
D. The certificate is issued by the academy, covered by the internal accreditation and the seals of the
registered academy

Conditions for acceptance of research and thesis

Part-time student profile

Part-time degree is targeted at an individual who has  primary occupations  job  Part-time education is thus a convenient go to for mature adults who plan to return to education  later in their career or personal life.

Students enroll in less than the full course load. Thus, it takes longer to complete a degree as compared to full-time students.

However, the flexibility that its timing provides outweighs the duration of the part-time programs. Students can attend classes after office hours, over the weekends or evenings/nights.

Conditions for Accepting Research

A. The research should be included in one of the sections.
B. The research should be in Arabic or English.
C. The research must be original and characterized by novelty, and it must not be part of a previous
published research or a university thesis, and the researcher must submit a signed written declaration
that the research has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Postgraduate students
(Masters – PhD) are required to submit a signed written declaration that the research is related to its
thesis and not part of it, with the approval of the professor supervising the research.
D. Commitment to objectivity and adherence to the accurate scientific method in documentation and
graduation, verification of linguistic integrity, and observance of punctuation marks.
E. The research should not be less than twenty pages and not more than fifty pages.
F. The research is submitted with a summary in Arabic and English, provided that it does not exceed one
page, and is accompanied by a biography of the researcher, in which he indicates his scientific rank, his
writings and his address.
G. The research is subject to evaluation by the competent arbitration committee to indicate its eligibility for
arbitration. Research submitted for arbitration shall not be returned, whether accepted or not.
H. The journal publishes the research translated into Arabic, the foreign text is attached to the translation
text, and the translated research is subject to evaluation by the competent committee.
I. The journal publishes reports on scientific conferences and symposia, provided that the number of pages
does not exceed twenty pages.
J. The footnotes are placed numbered at the bottom of each page, according to the following
documentation: the author’s name, the name of the book, the part and the page.
K. At the end of the research, a list of sources and references is placed according to the following
documentation: the name of the author, the name of the book, the investigator or translator, the
publishing house, the edition number, the place of publication, the date of publication, the part and the
page.
L. Researches are submitted in an electronic file according to the following technical conditions:
The program (Microsoft Word 2010) is an adjustable version.
The type of Arabic font is Traditional Arabic, and the Latin font: Times New Roman.
Line spacing: 1.5.
Page size: 21cm x 29.7cm.
Margins of the page for research in Arabic: upper: 3 cm, lower: 3 cm, right: 3.5 cm, left: 3 cm.
Page margins for research in foreign languages: top: 3 cm, bottom: 3 cm, right: 3 cm, left: 3.5 cm.

Entry requirements

For admission into the program, all applicants are expected to have: A bachelor’s degree
from an accredited college or university GPA of a least 3.0 At least one year of professional
work experience (post-bachelor’s degree) in a safety and health general industry or construction
related fields

While some professional degree programs from ACADEMY OF GLASGOW FOR CULTURE & SCIENCES
are designed to prepare students to meet international professional certification requirements,
