Professional Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Philosophy)

Admission: Admission to the Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) is made through the admission test. Candidates who meet one of the following requirements may be considered for direct admission:

(1) Candidate with a National Doctoral Fellowship or other fellowships from governmental / semi-governmental organizations (organization for granting research fellowships) and other similar organizations

(2) The candidate chosen under the Quality Improvement Program, or faculty development program.

(3) An employee in any university / institution / college / government. Undertaking management / public sector / research and development organization / private industry, with experience of not less than two years

(4) Citizen who holds a fellowship

(5) Whether the researcher obtained admission in a recognized institution or a reputable reputation.

Note: (a). The equivalence of the degree to which the candidates enjoy is settled by the relevant faculty equivalency committee before admission. They are admitted to PhD only if the degree they obtained qualifies them to join as PhD researchers

(B) A maximum of 15% of the total seats available in the college / department / school / center.

(6) A candidate who is already registered with a Ph.D. researcher at another university

(7) Candidate from any university / institution / college / government administration / public sector that undertakes / research and development organization / private industry, which is sponsored by the said organization as a full-time candidate, and has at least two years experience, working towards obtaining a PhD degree in his institution

(8) A candidate holding a senior management position in a government department / public sector / R & D / private industry (of good reputation), which has not been recognized as a research center by the university, can be admitted to a PhD. With the approval of the Vice Chancellor, provided that he has at least 10 years of professional experience

(9) A candidate who works on a research project may register for a PhD. At the university, provided that he publish at least two research papers in arbitration journals so that the research work of the project and the approval of the doctorate are. Interfering and / or operating in both at the same time will not impede either interest;

(10) A teacher at the university or in university / college colleges holding a technical job (including under probation / contract);

(11) A non-teaching employee at the university holding a technical position (including under supervision / contract);

(12) Candidates with PG degree (DM / M.Ch.) in highly specialized subjects in the departments of the Faculty of Medical Sciences

Certification Information

While some professional degree programs from ACADEMY OF GLASGOW FOR CULTURE & SCIENCES are designed to prepare students to meet international professional certification requirements, these programs may not necessarily meet the professional degree requirements in other countries.
Students who plan to enroll in international professional degree programs with the intention of obtaining the professional degree in other countries should be familiar with the professional degree requirements in those countries.
Current students who are planning to undertake field experiences abroad should be familiar with the requirements of other countries.
In line with regulations, the Glasgow Academy of Culture and Science makes a good faith effort to determine whether our professional programs leading to professional certificates may meet the requirements of other state licensing boards, and doing so requires contacting your state licensing boards and having those boards reviewed The curricula of the program, which qualifies you to obtain a professional certificate in the specialization you wish to join.
